MOKA POT

Ingredients:

  • 20-22 gr. coffee beans per person
  • Purified or bottled water
  • One Moka Pot
  • One dessert spoon
  • Stopwatch
  • One espresso cup

Preparation:

  1. Grind the coffee slightly coarser than Turkish coffee.
  2. Fill the bottom part of the Moka Pot with water up to the marked line.
  3. Place the coffee filter into the bottom part.
  4. Place the ground coffee in the middle and gently shake to settle it. Use your index finger to spread the coffee evenly.
  5. Place your Moka Pot on your stove over medium heat.
  6. The coffee will slowly start to fill the upper section. Be careful during this time and do not touch the lid. You will hear a gurgling sound as the coffee completely fills the upper chamber. Turn off your stove after this sound stops.
  7. Be careful when serving your coffee as it can splash when pouring due to its high temperature.
  8. Cool the Moka Pot by holding it under cold water from the tap after emptying the coffee.
